He is survived by: his children, Sabine (Liedel) and Dr. Sascha Heckmann (Nola); his wife Karin; his grandchildren, Shawna, Shannon, Maggie, Sutton, David, Rachel and Molli; and his great grandchildren, Matthew, Ivy, Asher, Leighton and Aiden.
His family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lehigh Valley Hospice who's staff assisted in his transition from this life with compassion and grace.
