He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Ruchinski Sr. and Joanne L. Ruchinski (Long); and his daughters, Sarah and Emily Ruchinski. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Ruchinski (Teti); his son Matthew Ruchinski; and his siblings, John J. Ruchinski Jr. (Cindy) and Mary A. Sell (Christian).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association (321 Norristown Rd Suite 260, Ambler, PA 19002) in James' name.
