It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles J. Butera Jr. of Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 27, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles J. Butera Sr. and Irene M. Butera (Giangiulio); his stepsons, Matthew Smith and Jason Smith; and his sister Joanne Folgia-Butera.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Butera; his daughters, Caroline Butera-Frank (late Tom Frank), Deborah Palazzolo (Chuck), Laura Butera (Russel Belton) and Maryann Butera (Gavin Kelly); his stepdaughter Jill Renninger (Todd); his grandchildren, Alixandra Tate, Nicholas Palazzolo, Michael Palazzolo, Stephen Palazzolo, Severino Butera-Addesso (Amanda), Neive Kelly, Nathaniel Belton, Gideon Belton, Elliot Renninger, Tenrick Renninger, Greyson Renninger, Chancellor Smith, Mya Smith and Gryffin Smith; his great grandchild Liam Butera; and his brothers, James Butera (Lee) and Robert Butera (Linda).
