It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Merchlinsky of Gilberton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 28, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter and Anna Powlick Kostingo, Sr.; her son John J. "Jack" Merchlinsky; her grandson Richard M. Lynn; and her brother Peter Kostingo, Jr..
She is survived by: her husband John J. "Jack" Merchlinsky, Sr.; her children, Michelle Sluck (David), Cynthia Farlow (Robert) and Greg Marchlinsky; her daughter-in-law Paula Merchlinsky (late Jack Merchlinsky, Jr.); and her brothers, Joseph (Mary) and John Kostingo. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers donation in Dorothy' name can be made to St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church, 243 S. Middle St., Frackville, PA 17931.
