We are sad to announce that on September 19, 2018, at the age of 97, Esther R. Smith (Gilbert, Pennsylvania), born in Wind Gap, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her spouse Charles Smith; her parent George Melvin; and her siblings, George, Stanley and Alice Kibler.

She is survived by: her parent Maggie Tanner Melvin; her daughters, Marlene Tocket (Thomas) of Wind Gap and Judith Raines of Pen Argyl; her grandchildren, Timothy Tocket (Jennifer), Todd Tocket (Amy), Randall Raines and Pamela Raines; and her great grandchildren, Ashley Gower (Martin), Peter, Jared, Brandon, Malyssa and Jacob.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be offered to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 1422 Church Rd., Pen Argyl, PA 18072.
