He was predeceased by: his parents, William Howland and Elizabeth Howland (Harr); his wife Marie Howland (Campbell); and his sisters, Dolores Balzer, Mary Goddard and Jacqueline Prettyman.
He is survived by: his children, Dolores Justice (David), William Howland Jr. and Theresa Pefferman; and his grandchildren, James Howland, William Howland III, Joseph Howland, Patrick Pefferman, Andrew, Samantha and Nicholas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
