He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Kavala and Clare Jane Brown Damico; his stepmother Phyllis Kavala (Taraski Przepierski); and his sister Susan Boone (Ron). He is survived by: his wife Sheri L. Kavala (Vought); his children, Nichole Heide (Brandon) and Kevin Kavala; and his brother Chris Kavala (Lil). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
