He was predeceased by: his parents, Agnes Barent (Pleva) and Zigmund Barent; and his siblings, Agnes Barent, Rose Stole, Martha Baldrige, Zigmund Barent and Stanley Pyczynski.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kustes Barent; his children, Richard J. Barent (Lisa) and Linda Barent (Chris Yoskosky); his grandchildren, Caroline, Emily Barent and Larkin Yoskosky; and his pet Wolfie.
