He was predeceased by: his mother Virgina "Dede"; and his brother Paul (Elizabeth). He is survived by: his wife Lori Dougherty (Harbison); his children, Eric (Erika), Danny, Colin and Ryan; his grandchildren, Phynix, Luna and Meadow; his brothers, David (Terri) and John (Ty); and his parents-in-law, Ruth and Robert. He is also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mark's name to the cancer center at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh or the Humane Society.
