She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Betty June Buncie (Forsha), Donald Eugene Buncie, Sr., Marcelina Jaime and JamesJaime; and her mother-in-law Rev. Barbara Jean Peterson.

She is survived by: her parents, David Dean Buncie (Cindy) and Pauline Buncie (Jaime); her husband LaVaughn Peterson; her children, Marcus L. Claytor-Peterson, Christopher R. Claytor-Peterson, Isaac X. Peterson, Anastasia L. Peterson and Quentin J. Peterson; and her siblings, Monica Shoemaker (Buncie), Michele Burrow (Buncie) and Todd Buncie Chief Electricians (Raquel). She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and siblings -in-law.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name can be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance; PO Box 32141, New York, NY 10087-2141.
