He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Baumgartel and Ethel Kennedy Baumgartel; and his siblings, Kenny, Marie Baumgartel and Linda Lees.
He is survived by: his brother Larry Baumgartel; his wife Michele Fair Baumgartel; his children, Dr. Jennifer Zangardi (Alfonso) of Shavertown, PA and Michael (Kelley) of Mars; and his grandchildren, Dominick, Lorenzo, Rita Zangardi and Jack Baumgartel.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 9:15 AM to 10:30 AM at the Hampton Presbyterian Church (2942 E Hardies Rd, Gibsonia, PA 15044). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his name to Hampton Presbyterian Church, 2942 East Hardies Rd., Gibsonia, PA 15044; or to a scholar athlete scholarship to be established in his honor, c/o Jennifer Zangardi, 12 Windy Drive, Shavertown, PA 18708, and please put "scholarship fund" on the memo line; or just share a big smile with everyone you see, just as he always did.
