He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. James Farrar and Ethel Race Farrar; and his siblings, Henry, Rhoda, Jeanne, Ardyce and Loetta.

He is survived by: his wife Anna Mae Wray Farrar; his son Brett Farrar (Maureen) of Pine Twp; and his grandchildren, Zoe, Luke, Tristan, Graham and Lachlan.
