She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles L. Boyer and Margarette Boyer (Metzler); her husband Charles W. Brookhouser; and her siblings, Charles Alfred Boyer, Ella Morgan and Mary Lou Keilen.
She is survived by: her daughters, Paulina Sanfilippo (Frank) of California, SueAnn Auretto (Fred) of Gibsonia, Dawn Marie Merrigan (Mike) of Fredericksburg, VA and Colleen Wendy Scarantine (Darby) of Gibsonia; her sister Anna Marie Taylor of Michigan; her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Daniel, Jennifer, Josh, Gina, Cristie, Danielle, Billy, Carolynn, Tony, Stephen, Jessica, Gavin and Cody; and her son-in-law John Burns of Squirrel Hill. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
