He was predeceased by: his parents, David O. and Anna Whitlinger, Sr. (Schilling). He is survived by: his wife Shirley J. Whitlinger (Shumway); his pet Bailey; his brother James E. Whitlinger (June); and his niece Rachel Elizabeth Whitlinger (Tyler Elder).
