He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles W. Dunaway, Sr. and Inez Mae McCann; his children, Jodi Ellen Lassinger (Ray), Matthew Charles Dunaway (Gina) and Mark Allen Dunaway (Jennifer); and his grandchildren, Gabrielle, Victoria, Cole Lassinger, Gracie, Reese, Smyth Dunaway, Kate, Marin and William Dunaway.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donation be made toward Charles W. Dunaway Student/Athlete Scholarship Fund: "BC3 Education Foundation to benefit the BC3 Pioneer Athletic Program", BC3 Education Foundation, P.O. Box 1203, Butler, PA 16003.
