She was predeceased by: her parents, John Readfield and Agnes Cox Readfield; her husband Edwin R. Thornton; her son Gary R. Thornton (Hope Thornton Illsley); and her sister Lorraine Lint.
She is survived by: her son John "Jack" Thornton (Trish); her niece Patty Hardy (Bill); her great-nephews, W. Scott Hardy (Kathleen) and Brian Hardy; her granddaughters, Corinne Gormley (Kate) and Annette Couch (Chris); and her great grandchildren, Julianna, Savannah, Leanna and Miles.
