He was predeceased by: his parents, Lula Whitacre and Walter Whitacre; his siblings, Geneveive Seybert, Carl Schrecengost, Martha Patterson and Robert Whitacre; and his nephew Gary Seybert.
He is survived by: his wife Mavourneen Bender Whitacre (Bennie); his daughters, Brenda Whitacre O'Rourke (George) of Bloomsburg, PA and Shelly Whitacre Palacios (Fernando) of Montgomery Village, MD.; and his grandchildren, Lindsay O'Rourke, Olivia Palacios, Sophia Palacios and Ian Palacios.
