He was predeceased by: his parents, Otho D. Carey and Eva G. Carey (Mickley); his children, Janice L. Carey and David R. Carey; and his siblings, Evelyn Funt, Robert C. Carey and Lester D. Carey.
He is survived by: his children, Kay R. Black (Jeffrey) of Gettysburg and Dennis C. Carey (Karen); his daughter-in-law Jane Carey of Arendtsville; and his niece Anne Leer (James) of Dillsburg. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.
