He is survived by: his wife Faye Nieves (Monn); his children, William A. Nieves, Jr. (Sarai) and Tammy Nieves-Plank (Barry); his sister Ramonita Rivera; his grandchildren, William A. Nieves, III and Rhaya Ramos; and his great grandchild Sebastian Nieves.
