He is survived by: his children, Melissa Nieves of Gettysburg, Melanie Smelser of Minneapolis, MN and Luis Nieves of Chambersburg; and his siblings, Edna Laureano of Chambersburg and Abraham Nieves of Florida. He is also survived by five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
