He was predeceased by: his parents, James Donald and Dorothy Stoner (Topper); and his brother Allen Stoner. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Stoner (Herring); his children, Deborah Ann Royston (Doug) of Gettysburg, PA and Michael Joseph Herring (Shana) of Cherry Hill, NJ; his grandchild Erin McCloskey (Matthew); his children, Emily Royston, Alec Herring and Sydney Herring; and his great grandchild Mattson McCloskey.
