She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman E. Johnston and Audrey M. Johnston (Bosley); and her brother Jeff A. Johnston. She is survived by: her husband Michael J. Sterner, Sr.; her children, Audrey M. Schetrompf (Adam) of Gilbert, AZ, Michael J. Sterner-Flynn II (Kelly) of Hanover and Justin M. Sterner (Tiffany) of Live Oaks, FL; and her siblings, Herman E. Johnston, Jr. (Crystal) of Taneytown, MD, Deborah G. Frock of Sykesville, MD and Matthew L. Johnston (Stacey) of Taneytown, MD. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, six nieces, three nephews and many loving extended family.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Intersection Church (1980 Baltimore Pike, Gettysburg, PA 17325).
