It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sally Ann Crist (Gettysburg, Pennsylvania), who passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas W. Smith and Sara'Sis' Smith (Shaffer); her sister Kay Little; and her brother-in-law Tom Crist. She is survived by: her husband John'Jack'Crist; her children, Doug Crist (Amy) of Gettysburg and Jenny Vanasse (Jon) of Reading, Massachusetts.; her grandchildren, Carolyn Vanasse, Ben Vanasse, Marrin Crist and Lucy Crist; her siblings, Janet Berkey (Bob) of Gettysburg and Jay Smith (Daryl) of James Creek, PA; and her siblings-in-law, Dick Crist (Barb) of Wyomissing, PA and Sally George (Ron) of Alexandria, VA.. She is also survived by her family, including her many cousins and in-laws, nieces and nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. James Lutheran Church (109 York St, Gettysburg, PA 17325). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Sally's memory to SCCAP (South Central Community Action Program), 153 North Stratton St., Gettysburg, PA, 17325.
