He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Lynn and Josephine Goodson Spalding; and his sister Patricia Ann Krehbiel. He is survived by: his wife Karen Breighner Spalding; his daughters, Jennifer Alice Kassner (Julian) of Longwood, FL and Katelyn Jo "Katie Jo" Gaumer (Michael Beau) of Berryville, VA; his stepdaughter Amy Lynne Conover (Jason) of Front Royal, VA; his grandchildren, Zachary Kassner, Katie Kassner, Jackson Kassner, Austin Corlay Hickman, Kelsi Lynne Lawson and Ava Dawn Gaumer; and his siblings, Ernie Lee Spalding of Florida and Linda Sue Pendleton (Steve) of Tennessee. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
