He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Z. Garber and Dorothy L. Garber (Devilbiss); and his siblings, Maurice E. Garber (Betty), Gary D. Garber, E. Elizabeth Dell, Joan L. Garber, Carolyn D. Miller and Fay L. Minnick.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Marie Garber (Horn); his children, Christina "Tina" Holland (Jay) of Upperco, Dorothy L. "Dori" Whitmer (Frank) of Union Bridge, Judith A. "Judy" Garber of New Oxford, PA, T. Elaine Caprarola (Domenick) of Westminster, Sandra M. "Sandy" Garber (Anthony Seymour) of Littlestown, PA, R. Martin "Marty" Garber, Jr. (Rebecca) of Taneytown and Joseph M. "Michael" Garber (Shelly) of Taneytown; his siblings, W. Edward Garber (Caroline) of New Windsor, Richard L. Garber (Mary) of Union Bridge and Delores I. Frounfelter (Eugene) of New Windsor; and his sister-in-law Peggy Garber of New Windsor. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, masks are required and social distancing is to be observed in the funeral home.
