He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin W. Simmons and Barbara J. Simmons (Gogens); and his brother Donald Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Lucy E. Simmons (Lucas); his daughters, Selinda Simmons (Mindy) of Gallatin, TN and Kathleen Butler (JT) of Gallatin, TN; his stepson Joshua C. Nelson (Nina) of East Berlin, PA; his grandchildren, Rebecca, Kaitlyn, Damon, Lilah and Brianah; his great grandchild Kanyon; and his sisters, Debra Dove of Germantown, MD and Laura Nix of Frederick, MD..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Monahan Funeral Home (125 Carlisle St, Gettysburg, PA 17325). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (45 W High St, Gettysburg, PA 17325). A burial will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mount Olivet Cemetery (515 S Market St, Frederick, MD 21701).
