We are sad to announce that on December 4, 2020 we had to say goodbye to John R. Grady of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, born in Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas E. Grady and Mary Margaret Grady (Langan); his wife Ruth A. Grady (Riley); his daughter Dawn Higgs; his grandsons, Jay "Sonny" Shultz and Shawn Shultz; and his great grandchild Joseph Conover.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Riley (Sherry) of Gettysburg, PA, Carole Shultz of Gettysburg, PA, Linda Kernan of Aspers, PA and Ken Smith (Lynette) of Harrisburg, PA. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
Services for John, because of COVID concerns, will be private and at the convenience of the family, however, there will be a public viewing, Wednesday afternoon, December 9, 2020, from 2-3 PM at the Monahan Funeral Home, 125 Carlisle St., Gettysburg.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 465 Table Rock Rd., Gettysburg, PA 17325.
