He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Boblits Sr. and Goldie Rae Wilhelm Boblits; his daughter Stacey A. Boblits; and his brother Charles Boblits. He is survived by: his wife Roberta B. Jackson Boblits; his son John D. Boblits, III (Marci L.); his granddaughters, Heather Curtis, Emily and Abby Boblits; and his brothers, Eugene and David Boblits.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grane Hospice, 1200 Camp Hill Bypass, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
