Joan Ditzler Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Ditzler (Gettysburg, Pennsylvania), who passed away on December 30, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Clarence Sanders and Mary Catherine Sanders; her husband Harold Leroy Ditzler; and her sons, Kevin and Patrick.
She is survived by: her parents-in-law, Mel, Rosie Ditzler and Restaurant; her daughters, Catherine, Victoria Gonce (Lionel Weeks), Melissa Esserwein (Thomas), Lucinda Heistand (Robert), Mary Joan Botham (Elbert) and Barbara Holcomb (Jeffrey); and her sister Marianne Brady. She is also survived by children and grandchildren.
Due to Covid 19, the family will gather at a future date to celebrate her life.
Joan graduated from St Joseph's High School and worked in the kitchen of St Joseph's College and the Sisters of Charity residence that served the college.
