He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Althoff and Mary Riley Althoff; and his brothers, Edward J. Althoff, Jr. and Richard M. Althoff. He is survived by: his wife Janice "Jan" Davies Althoff; his daughters, Denise Stewart of Gettysburg, PA and Jill Althoff of Gettysburg, PA; his grandson Caleb Stewart; and his siblings, Joyce L. Kroushour of New Oxford, PA, Robert E. Althoff of Gettysburg, PA, Kenneth F. Althoff of Orrtanna, PA and Donald W. Althoff of Orrtanna, PA..
