He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Patterson and Sarah Jane Patterson (Tressler); his spouse Gayle L. Patterson (Jacoby); and his siblings, Anna Margaret Patterson, Jim Patterson and Tom Patterson.
He is survived by: his children, Elisha Blankenship (Bruce) of Gettysburg, Sommer McGuire (Pat) of Mechanicsburg, Elijah Patterson (Brittney) of Dover, Isaac Patterson (Kristen) of Dillsburg and Jonah Patterson of Arendtsville; his siblings, Tim Patterson (Trudy), Clara Kelly (late Homer), Helen Weaver (Harold) and Rita Sullivan (Gary); and his sister-in-law Gloria Patterson. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
