It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dale Baxter Shade of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, born in Dover, New Hampshire, who passed away on June 19, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Baxter and Marie V. Baxter (Kelley); and her sisters, Marie A. McCarthy and Laura J. Baxter. She is survived by: her husband William L. Shade; her children, William L. Shade, Jr. of Minneapolis, MN, Jeffrey M. Shade of Sterling, VA and Heidi M. Sheehan (Shade) of Round Hill, VA; and her siblings, Colleen (V. Jalbert) and Charles E. Baxter, Jr.. She is also survived by four grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Dale's name to Toms Creek UMC, 10926 Simmons Rd., Emmitsburg, MD 21727.
