He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Paula B. Johnson (David) of Hopewell Junction, NY, Laura B. Tweedy (Jeffrey) of Carmel, IN and Samuel Brook Bachman (Carmella) of Streamwood, IL; and his siblings, Harriet P. F. Bachman, Edward E. Bachman and Robert M. Bachman (Clare). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one of Russ's favorite projects, the Columbarium at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 1402 West Main Street, Carmel, IN 46033.
