She was predeceased by: her parents, Col. Francis Borgia and Beverly Smith Kane; her brother Col. Francis B. Kane, Jr. of Bethesda, MD; and her sister-in-law Linda June Schell of Denver, CO.. She is survived by: her husband Robert Burton Karsteter; her brother-in-law Wayne Schell of Denver, CO.; her children, Burton Karsteter (Connie), Linda Karsteter Stubbs (Robert Thayer), Page Karsteter (Nichole Perata), Beverly Anne Karsteter (David Walowsky), Martha Perkins (Jess), Marty Qually (Elizabeth Meighan) and Paul Karsteter (Theresa); her grandchildren, Jason, Laura Anna, Emily, Kate, Helen, Scott, Gianna, Clara, Maggie, Kane, Aiden, Lucian, Tyler, Page, Ruthie, Nick and Sam; and her great grandchildren, Blake and Brynn.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at 7:00 PM at the Monahan Funeral Home (125 Carlisle St, Gettysburg, PA 17325). A rosary will be held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location. Viewing will be held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Visiting Angels, Hospice, or St Francis Xavier School.
