He is survived by: his wife Mary Bailey Schmidt; his children, Lori Ann Schmidt of Beaver, PA, Frederick and David Schmidt of Ohio; and his siblings, Nancy Hohman of North Carolina and Harvey Schmidt. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
