He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph H. Boden and Alice Boden (Everett); and his siblings, Peggy Kelsey and Henry Lewis. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Boden of Genesee; his children, Joseph Boden II (Michele) of Genesee and Renee Boden of Coudersport; his grandsons, Joseph Boden III (Taryn), Andrew Boden and Jake Boden (Hannah); and his sisters, Pat Loy, Nina Boden and Christine Coole (Lawrence). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, Roswell Cancer Hospital or Wounded Warriors Foundation.
