He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Ransom and Hattie Skutt Ransom; his spouse Avis A. Chambers; his daughter Kathy Marie Ransom; and his siblings, Lois Vallieres, Betty McDonald and John R. Ransom.
He is survived by: his son D. Robert "Bobby" Ransom (Patricia) of Genesee; his brothers, Raymond "Shine" Ransom (Carol) of Westfield and Theodore "Cub" Ransom (Brenda) of Cowanesque; and his siblings-in-law, Waneta Ransom of Genesee, Joan Kuhn (Aaron) of Whitesville, NY, Harvey Vallieres of Whitesville, NY and Theodore McDonald of Bolivar, NY. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
