He was predeceased by: his parents, John Engle and Minnie Pearl Hay (Ash); his wife Betty Fike; and his sister Dorothy Hay Watkins. He is survived by: his children, Cathy Custer (Doug), Sharon Fochtman (Kevin) and Keith Hay (Elly McKenzie); his grandchildren, Jody Berkey (Steven), Angela Miller (Nathan), Kyle Fochtman (Christie), Keisha Hay (Ben), Geordan, Cannon and Carlyn Hay; his great grandchildren, Carter, Elijah, Amyah, Maelyn, Mason, Cameron and Brody; and his sisters, Ruth Brant and Sandra Thompson (William).
