He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. Lownds and Marjorie E. Lownds (Woolley); and his son Gary Lownds. He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Lownds; his former wife Barbara V. Schiller; his son Brian Lownds (Carrie); his brothers, David and Jeff Lownds; and his stepchildren, Regina Ticco (John), Robert Ferrante (Patricia), Patricia O'Donnell (Dan), Mary Weaver and John Ferrante (Kristen). He is also survived by ten step grandchildren.
