With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Russell W. Schmid of Gardners, Pennsylvania, born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 16, 2024 at the age of 68. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Schmid and Eleanore Schmid (Leskanic); his father-in-law Adam L. Bream; his former wife Kelly Schmid (Conroy); and his nephew Albert A. Schmid.
He is survived by: his wife Heather Schmid (Bream) of Gardners; his children, Shannon Walko (Matt) of Mechanicsburg, Shane Schmid (Jean) of Chambersburg, Matthew R. Schmid (Ellen) of York and William Schmid of Gardners; his grandchildren, Adora, Marcus and Lukas; and his siblings, Joanne Hershey of Chambersburg, Albert Schmid of Lancaster, Barbara Schmid of Lancaster and Dorothy Forsythe (Terry) of Falling Waters, WV.
