He is survived by: his parents, Jay Shaffer and Rita Shaffer (Clapsadl) of Fairfield, PA.; his children, Megan A. Shaffer of Biglerville, PA and Jaydon C. Shaffer of Gardners, PA; his sister Susan Switzer (Tom) of Orrtanna, PA; his nieces, Erin Switzer and Vera Lynn Shaffer; and his great-nephew Gabriel Switzer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the funeral home to help defray the funeral expenses.
