He was predeceased by: his father Ronald Schell. He is survived by: his wife Katherine "Katie" Schell (Verbeten); his mother Vaunne Schell of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; his cousins, Jason Boyd, Eric Boyd (Belinda), Trystan Boyd (Krystle), Ashleay Boyd, Casey Boyd (Tanya) and Schelly Boyd (Daniel); his sister-in-law Elisa Vandevander; his nieces, Natalie and Madelyn; and his nephew Dylan.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Heroic Hearts Project.
