He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Lawson and Cressie Fraley Lawson; and his siblings, Dolly Wyatt, Myrtle Lucas, Goldie Engle, Sylvia Hainer, Faye Pope, Johnny and Roy Daniel Lawson.
He is survived by: his wife Marie E. Armstrong Lawson; his daughter Cynthia "Cindy" (Michael Garver) of Paradise; his grandchildren, Bradly (Kristin Godfrey) of Airville, Cherakee Garver of Strasburg and Colton Garver (Alexa Colagreco) of Paradise; his great grandchildren, Bailey and Kimber Garver; and his siblings, Bobby (Mary Lawson) of Lester, WV and Betty Arter of Gap.
