She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Rebecca Watkins and James Edward Bruce; her brothers, James Bruce II and Edward Bruce; and her husband James W. Thompson III.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bonnie Leight (Ron) and Beth Stauffer (Stu); and her grandchildren, Kaitlynn Kaunzinger (Thomas), Ashley Haelle (TJ), Tyler and Matthew Hood.
