He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond E. Smerkar and Louise Hartle Smerkar; and his brothers, Timmy and Tommy. He is survived by : his wife Julie Vogelbacher Smerkar; his children, Darla Smerkar of Fryburg, Shane Smerkar of Fryburg and Mathias Smerkar (Jenna) of Fryburg; and his grandchildren, Aiden Smerkar and Sara Smerkar.
