He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph R. Griffin and Helen J. Griffin (Butler); and his siblings, Rita Griffin, Doris Keesler and Bob Griffin.

He is survived by: his siblings, Catherine Hardy of Binghamton, NY, Don Griffin, Bernie (Mary Martha Griffin) and Mike (Mary Ellen Griffin). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
