He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Brown and Ada Brown (Reed); his son Jeffrey Brown; and his brother Larry Brown. He is survived by: his wife Mary L. Brown (Hikes); his daughters, Marie (Ned Laubenstine) and Jennifer (William Hudson); his grandchildren, Tara, Amy Laubenstine, Jeffrey and Caleb Hudson; and his sister-in-law Nadine Brown. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
