She was predeceased by: her parents, Gertrude Barrett (Thompson) and Charles E. Barrett; her husband Alex; and her siblings, Howard Donald Holsing and Carol Jean McClowry.

She is survived by: her daughters, Alysia Phipps (Jason) of Selma, NC and Janene DeLeon of Freeport; and her grandchildren, Miranda and Alec Phipps. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
