He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen M. Obringer (Reedy) and George A. Obringer; and his brother Kenneth A. Obringer, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Barbara J. Obringer (Hancock); his sister Rosalie Coy of Saxonburg; and his nieces and nephews, Kenneth Obringer, Jr., Nicholas Obringer, Julia Obringer and Tanya Arlott.
