He is survived by: his parent Leroy "Fuzzy" Serene; his wife Margaret Ann "Peggy" Serene (Coffman); his son Charles Norman of Freeport; his daughter-in-law Trish Serene, Jr. of Freeport; his stepchildren, Deborah Marie Samay of Shaler, Rebecca Louise Samay of Pittsburgh and Paul James of New Kensington; his siblings-in-law, Robert Coffman of Lower Burrell and Dennie Coffman of Lower Burrell; and also Lisa Zielinski II of New Kensington. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
